Diversity and Military

Diversity and Military, in my opinion need to be 2 separate spaces, however this is a common thought of corporate America, therefore for search purposes, I will keep them together.

Growing up in North Hollywood and only seeing diversity has made it easy for me to not see color my whole life.  I find the soul of America is mix of all cultures, races and religions. People today are so much more beautiful because we have allowed diversity in our lives and tolerance in our conversations.  The same could be said for companies.  Think about a mere 40-50 years back and how close-minded America was and how it was impossible for woman and non-whites to grow in society and corporations.

Fast-forward to today, we have Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors and Meg Whitman, CEO of Hewlett-Packard and Barack Obama as President.  We have gone light-years in the last 50+ years but we have a lot more work to do…Which leads me to another class of amazing people.

Our United States Military and Veterans of the Military are the unspoken heroes far too often.  We take for granted our freedom and rarely stop to thank thank the men and women who selflessly fight for us.

Moreover, we struggle trying to hire them…if we try at all.  I am quite sure we do not purposely segregate them from our candidate search, however I am sure we do not try enough.

There are tons of tools out there to make it easier to hire military.  Just ask me and I will put you in the right direction.

Thank you for serving our service-members.
